Canva is great for business cards for all levels – independent contractors, small businesses, and large businesses.
I’ve created several business cards on Canva using their templates. However, you have to adjust the designs, font, and colors to make it a better fit for your brand.
You can also easily upload and add your images and elements to your designs before printing your Canva business cards.
You can download the proof and make sure it looks like you want it to look too before placing an order for the business cards.
How Do I Make Business Cards on Canva?
Step 1 – Canva Business Cards
Create a free account on Canva. If you already have an account, log in and head over to the ‘Create a design’ button in the top right corner.
Step 2 – Canva Business Cards
Choose the template category your business best fits in. You can find business card templates in the following categories:-
- Designer
- Fashion
- Babysitter
- Corporate
- Photography
- Professional
- Freelancer
- Artist
- Real Estate and much more
Under each of these categories, you will find hundreds of business card templates and layouts you can customize for your purposes.
There is an option to create a custom size if you’re not satisfied with any of the default sizes available.
You can also resize any of the business cards after you’ve completed the design. You can make as many changes and updates as you want.

This wasn’t the final one but I’m using it for this article. It’s straightforward and utilizes my colors and font.
Does Canva Offer Printing Services?
Yes, Canva offers printing services. Once, you’re satisfied with your design, head over to the ‘Print business cards’ button in the top right corner.
Under this button, you will find the options to do the following:-
- Single or double-sided business card
- Paper choice, weight, and thickness – standard, premium, and deluxe paper
- Finish – matte, gloss, uncoated, or soft-touch finish
- Copies – 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 500, 1,000, 1,500 or 2,000 copies. The more you order, the more discounts you get but 50 is a reasonable rate too.
When you’re happy with the options chosen, click continue. Canva will let you know if you need to adjust your design or if there any issues.
They will show you how to rectify any issues. It usually involves dragging the edges, moving text, or using higher-quality images so don’t get nervous.
When you’re all done, it’s time to download proof of your work and check for any spelling or design mistakes.
The proof is a high resolution with crop marks so you will see exactly how your Canva business cards will look like.
Not happy with the look? Go back and make more changes then repeat the process.
Happy? Click continue and you’ll be prompted to enter your shipping details and delivery preferences.
Standard delivery (5 – 8 business days) is free and express delivery (2 – 3 days) is charged.
Confirm all your details again, add a coupon code if you have any, then place an order and you’re all done.

From the next level of copies (100), you will start to get discounts in the range of 20% to 59% for 2,000 copies.
I compared the costs of the small number I ordered (50) with local printers and it worked out to be way cheaper.
By the way, the cost remains the same no matter how complicated the design is. Costs depend on the printing options and copies you choose.
